Save the Meister? (Shio, Ren, Evalee, and Ryuu) « Thread Started on Jan 30, 2009, 10:51pm »
I not-so-casual mission was posted for the students of Shibusen and two pairs decided that they would talk it on. However, this mission had a few higher stakes in it. Instead of the usual mission of a pair going out to fight and capture a soul on the verge of becoming a Kishin, this mission involved Shibusen's enemies, witches. That's right; this mission was to help an already dispatched pair take care of a witch. According to the report, the Meister, Cinos, had been chased by the witch and she refused to leave him alone. And so, he asked the help of others in the form of a mission to help rid him of the witch. It sounded simple, but was it really?
The place was a motel lobby in Kalinga, Philippines. There sat Cinos and his current partner, Nazka. Kalinga wasn't exactly the most well funded city. It was comparable to the slums and was busy and dirty. During the summers, it got extremely hot, but luckily it was the windy season and the mass amount of alleys and small streets kept the wind moving quickly. It was around noon and things were peaceful and busy.
It wasn't the crazed environment you'd expect to have with a witch around, but that made things a bit more edgy. Luckily for Cinos, the witch would not attack him within the motel. He did not know the reason why, but he believed it was the reason he was able to survive for so long on his own. And now, with news that help was coming, he and his partner calmly waited within the lobby for it to arrive.

Shio panted heavily as he ran, EvaLee slightly ahead of him. Her purple hair whipped around and into her face. Shio's own ponytail flapped as he ran after his partner. The two had decided against waiting for Ren and Ryuu, knowing that Ryuu would only slow them down. Instead they'd gone on ahead, and were now dashing straight to the meeting point.
To be honest, the pair were more interested in the safety of the other partnership. Or so they said. They had to note that the wind would make this harder, and it sounded as if it would be pretty tough anyway. EvaLee skidded to a halt at the door of the motel, Shio narrowly avoiding running into her. For a mere second she paused to catch her breath, a hand on her chest. "Shall we?" She gestured for Shio to enter, and followed him once he had.
Olive green eyes skimmed the room, searching for the two that they were here to help. There were a few people in the room, and it made the male slightly nervous. EvaLee patted him on the arm, not looking at him. After a while, she spotted a pair who might be the ones that they were looking for. She walked over to them, leaving Shio shaking in his shoes. "Cinos and Nazka~." She said, almost as if she was telling them, not asking. Still, Shio looked lost.

'Hmm, I wonder where Shio and EvaLee are?' Ryuu asked. Him and Ren were making their way to the whereabouts of the motel. Ren was running on ahead along the streets and alleyways while Ryuu trod along behind her. 'They're probably already at the motel'Ren said raising her voice. Ryuu ignored the slightly pissed tone of Ren's voice and carried on talking. 'How rude, they should have been waiting for us, I was going to buy them an ice-cream' Ren skidded to a halt turned around. She stared at Ryuu eye-to-eye angrily and gripped hard on his shoulders. 'Why the hell would you even think of buying an ice-cream?? They're not here because you were taking such a long time to move your bony arse!' she yelled shaking him. 'Ow' Ryuu said pushing Ren's hands off him. 'That hurt. And besides my 'arse' is not bony! How should you know? Eh? It's not like I've sat on you or anything' Ryuu carried on gabbling on whilst Ren had set off again running twice as fast to get away from him. Ryuu sighed and went after her muttering to himself. 'These streets are weird' Ryuu complained. 'I don't like them!' 'Gosh Ryuu' said Ren dryly. 'Why don't we just go change the streets to how you like them and then get to the motel, which we're already late getting to!' Ryuu stuck his tongue out childishly and looked over at a different direction hurt. His attention turned to a building on the right. It had a big distinctive sign saying 'MOTEL'. He slowed down and started walking over to it, followed by Ren who had noticed the building as well. 'Hey look Shio and EvaLee are in there' Ryuu said peering through the door. He slammed it open and strode over to Shio and EvaLee acting 'cool'. 'How you guys doing?' he said raising an eyebrow.

As the first pair arrived, Cinos' head rose and he stood up a bit. He watched as Shio and Evalee entered the motel lobby. Waving Nazka down, he turned and then waved to greet them. "Hello children." The man said, smiling a bit. Cinos was a tall blonde man. He easily stood a few inches over six feet and wore his hair out long and kept in a ponytail. He was a man almost always dressed in a suit and business attire. But despite his looks, he wasn't always proper, something the pairs would learn during their venture. Nazka, on the other hand, was a burly silent man. He was large as well as tall and bald. His attire consisted of black sweatpants and a very tight, form-fitting tank top. He said very little if anything at all. "Where are the other two?" Cinos asked the pair as he waved them over to the seats they could sit in as they waited. However, shortly afterwards, the second part had come, instantly greeting the first pair without acknowledging the man. Clearing his throat a bit, he moved back to his seat and spoke.
"Children, as I am sure you two are already acquainted, the introductions will have to be short. Mind you, we are the prey, not the predators in this case, so be on your toes." Sitting down, he leaned back in his seat and sighed a bit. He gave the children the time to take their seats as well. Looking the group up and down, she glanced over at Nazka. The burly man gave him a nod and Cinos nodded back and looked at the group once more. Once they were seated, he spoke. "Simply put, my name is Cinos, and this gentleman over here is Nazka. I'm not too sure if Shibusen has made this record known, but many years ago, I had succeeded in creating a death scythe. The man was my former partner. However, shortly afterwards, a witch relative to the one I had slain came to Shibusen for revenge. And while she was defeated, my partner was killed in the battle. And now, I'm with my current partner, Nazka and we are redoing the whole process." He started, adjusting his suit jacket as he spoke.
"But things are a bit troubling now. It seems that the daughter of the witch that attacked Shibusen has started to come after me for revenge. She's making my job a bit difficult and we need to get rid of her. That's why I have called you here for assistance and the reward to whoever slays here is her soul. I don't mind waiting as Nazka and I have plenty more work ahead of us." He continued, giving a bit of background on the mission ahead of them. "And so, basically, this mission is to capture and defeat the witch that is after me. I'll give you all a bit of time to prepare if you have not already and when you all are ready to go, I'll be giving you more details about a plan and the witch herself. All I ask is that the weapons tell me their abilities so I can create an accurate plan."

EvaLee took a seat when indicated too, Shio stood by her side. The girl was just about to answer the question that was posed to them when two familiar faces joined them. "Nice to see you made it~." Her words sounded innocent enough, but she smiled ever so slightly as she spoke. Then she looked them both in the eye(s). "Hope you two are doing alright~." She told them, sincerely now. Then she returned her attention to the meister and weapon before them.
They listened to the words of Cinos, taking it all in. Shio was staring at them, not blinking, whereas EvaLee was looking at the ceiling. She took the words and turned them over in her mind. Kills witch, makes death scythe, relative of dead witch comes for revenge, gets killed, death scythe dies in the process. She ran a hand through her purple locks, still looking up wards. Neither said a word, instead waiting for more information. Daughter of second dead witch comes, also for revenge. Need to kill her. Simple.
"It's a vicious circle, I'm not sure I want to get caught up in this~." Shio winced at his partner's brash words. She merely looked at the two whom needed the help. "If all we get is a witch's soul- there's all kinds of responsibilities when a weapon becomes a death scythe. I'm not sure I want to look like that either~." She leaned back in her chair, blue eyes watching the other occupants of the room. "I'm s-sorry! She's j-just a b-bit..." Shio trailed off, going red and shooting a slightly annoyed look at EvaLee. He knew she'd help, but speaking out like that didn't do much good. "Eva's-"
"I'm the weapon, demon spear. Soul Resonance takes two forms: Obscurum and ObscurumIcendia. Just a simple blinding and tracking maneuver, Incendia is just the same but with fire. Other than that, I'm a normal spear."

'So we have to just go kill some witch's daughter' said Ren. 'Do you know anything about her? Like abilities?'. 'Who cares? We'll kill her just like that! We're the best!' Ryuu said punching the air enthusiastically. 'Eh-oh' Ryuu straightened up putting his hands in his pockets quickly after realizing he had just ruined it for himself for giving himself a cool first impression. Now he just sounded like some Black-Star-alike. Ryuu looked at Ren who seemed to be glaring at him from the sudden outburst and looked away at the floor, a little ashamed. He sighed and tugged at his shirt collar. This is what he usually does when he was unsure of what to do and say. Ren crossed her arms and stepped forward. 'I'm a Meister and Ryuu is a weapon' she said looking at Ryuu signaling him to continue. 'Yeah. I'm a weapon- demon bow. Soul Resonance takes form- kakuhan flame. Our attacks are based on fire. Check it out EvaLee, we can set the whole of Kalinga on fire!' he said.
